How are you different from other yoga teachers?
While much of Western yoga focuses on striving to get into increasingly difficult poses, I teach yoga to promote healing and balance. Many people get injured while practicing yoga because they get wrapped up in the "yoga race" in which they constantly push themselves on the mat.  Instead, I teach yoga to share a profoundly healing and loving approach to self care.

I've never done yoga. I'm stiff and feel weak. I probably can't do yoga right?
You absolutely can. The weaknesses and stiffness is probably adding to your stress level and then worsened by the stress which puts you in a vicious cycle. By starting out gently at a pace that is beneficial to you, you will begin to feel more open and relaxed both physically and mentally.

How did you become a wellness expert?
For years, I struggled with health problems including spinal disk injury, restless sleep, chronic stress, and acne. These symptoms left me frustrated and drained. No one seemed to have the remedies so I decided to educate myself on how to heal my body and life. While searching for lasting and meaningful changes, I came across yogic teachings and practices that profoundly changed my body and life. Read more about my education and qualifications on the About page.

Who are your students?
I work with creative people who are trying to reduce stress and find balance in their bodies. My clients include actresses, dancers, performers, artists, moms, small business owners, health care professionals, fitness professionals, corporate executives, and more.

What services do you offer?
In Manhattan and Brooklyn, I offer Yoga for Stress & Aches that consists of 12 in-person yoga sessions at clients' homes.  After the initial 12 sessions, on going private yoga sessions are also available. I also offer my signature lecture/yoga workshop "Healing Your Body and Life with Yoga" at organizations and companies. I offer phone consultations to support long distance clients. If you need help with general wellness and nutrition, you can enroll in a private Health Coaching Program.

Serious health problems run in my family. Will working with you help to reduce my risk of becoming diabetic, etc.?
Yes. The holistic nature of yoga and health coaching allows us to address the well being of your body, mind, and spirit.

I've helped clients prevent and even reverse common conditions such as high blood pressure, low blood sugar, obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, and heart disease.

Where do you offer your services?
Brooklyn and Manhattan for in-person services.  Anywhere in the world for health coaching over the phone.  Visit the Events page to learn about special events near you.

How often would we meet?
Between one to three times a week for yoga. Depending on your schedule, preferences, and goals we will come up with a schedule.  The Health Coaching program meets twice a month.

When can I expect to notice the effects of yoga?
Clients feel the effects during the very first session. Some feel better even after talking to me on the phone to set up an appointment! They feel lighter in their bodies as well as more relaxed yet energized. They also feel empowered and inspired. They release tension and chronic conditions tend to subside or disappear altogether.  Due to having a clearer and calmer mind, their lives tend to make big shifts immediately.

I have a serious health condition. Is it safe for me to work with you?
Many of my clients suffer from chronic conditions or physical limitations that improve during the course of our sessions.  However, if you have a serious physical or mental conditions (e.g.cardiovascular disease, cancer, or severe depression) and/or if you take medication for a serious condition, please consult your physician.

How long is the program?
The Private Yoga Program consists of 12 sessions. The frequency of our meetings will determine the length of the program. After the first 12 sessions I often suggest clients meet with me for at least six months to achieve meaningful changes. Many continue to experience profound changes so they work with me for longer. The Health Coaching program lasts between 3-6 months.

How long is each session?
About one hour.

What does a typical yoga session look like?
The yoga program may include some or all of the following: yoga poses, assisted stretching and other movements, relaxation, meditation, breathing exercises, handouts, discussions, and on-line videos.

What happens in between the sessions?
I will give you simple exercises to do at home with or without a video.  I am also available via email for additional support.

Are group events a part of the program?
As a client, you are invited to join group classes or workshops when they are offered and to share the experience with your friends and family.  Group events are a fun way to meet like minded people and get additional support.

Will you come to my company/organization/school/group to run a wellness workshop or yoga classes?

The rate also depends on where we meet and how much I'll travel. The health coaching program costs $250 a month.

Can I try a yoga session before committing?
Yes, I offer a trial session for $80-100 depending on how much I need to travel.

Can I talk to you and ask questions before a trial session?

"The benefits of her [sessions] have gone beyond the hour long classes into my daily routine. I’m stronger, have more energy and can breathe my way through stressful situations more easily.

Best of all I’m wearing a smaller size jean!"
